Lots of Releases for May 16th & a Freebie

I don't know about y'all, but I have been one busy little designer. Lots of new templates and making papers/elements for upcoming shop kits. I also enjoyed reading what templates y'all will be needing for summer and those comments inspired one of this week's releases. Without further ado, here is what's new and also previous releases being added to my other shops!

A Little Wonky, available at both shops for $2, was inspired by all the fun frames I have used in kits from Created by Jill Scraps. I decided I would make some off-centered circle frames of my own so you can have as much fun as I have had. These templates are also designed with lots of background space in the event you want to use a large photo in the background and use the frames to zoom in on certain parts of a photo or add coordinating photos. You will see what I mean with some of my creative team layouts.

The creative team really went all out with this kit....and boy did they have fun. I think I have the best team and they are really good at coming up with so many different ways to use my kits. This really extends your stash when you can reuse templates but achieve different looks.

Feeling Patriotic was not originally planned for this weekend. I had some sketches I did of possible patriotic templates for release later in the summer. However, I read comments from my last post of templates users were starting to look for. Many of you asked for patriotic templates, so I moved these up on my priority list. I absolutely love all things stars and stripes. My kitchen is decorated in Americana (which actually worked for the hubby who is from New Zealand...same flag colors.) Have fun using these for Memorial Day, Flag Day or 4th of July. You can use them for military photos or simple celebrations. Feel free to clip papers to the items on the templates or swap them out for embellishments and papers. The possibilities are endless! This kit is $2 until May 22, 2014.

My creative team provided me a range of layouts from patriotic to every day. Some used the templates as they are designed, while others flipped them around. Like the samples above, you will find a myriad of ways to use this kit.

Spring Sentiments 1 was originally released at GoDigitalScrapbooking as part of the last Mixology. They are now available at GingerScraps. This 2-template pack was inspired by LyllahRaven Designs' Spring Sentiments kit. These follow more of a traditional scrapbook layout look. This set is only $1 until May 22, 2014.

Of course there is inspiration from the creative team:

Spring Sentiments 2 was also in the GoDigitalScrapbooking Mixology and was inspired by the Spring Sentiments kit from Created by Jill Scraps. This set is also being released at GingerScraps for $1 until May 22, 2014. These templates are a little more on the artsy side with a variety of painted backgrounds. You can add paper to the background or clip paper/color to the paint.

And the creative team layouts:

Last, Tell Me a Story was added at GoDigitalScrapbooking today and is on sale for $3.00 until May 22, 2014. This kit was released at GingerScraps during iNSD The inspiration behind this kit was centered around getting back to the basics of scrapbooking. One of my faults is capturing the story behind the photo(s). I sometimes get so caught up in the designs and embellishment placement that I tend to forget the journaling. It isn't a mandatory part of these templates, but I wanted to show how to place the journaling so it becomes a part of the design.

Have fun with these releases. And be sure to share your layouts in the shop galleries and on the LissyKay Facebook page. We are on the look out for your layouts and want to share them.

And the winner is...

Thank you to all who enter this week's giveaway. Comment #9 was selected by, so Sheri is the winner of A Little Wonky! Sheri, please send me an email so we can get you set up with the info needed to pick up the kit!

Hot Potato Freebie...

Finally, I have a freebie for you...rather my creative team has one for you. We played a round of template Hot Potato. Basically one personal starts with a blank canvas and adds one item then passes the template to the next member on the list. That person adds a piece they want and then she passes it on. And so the process goes until we end up with a final product. So here is your first ever LissyKay Designs Hot Potato template. Download the file type you need by clicking on the file type under the image.

That is it for this week's new releases. Have a wonderful, scrappy filled weekend.
